Security expert Tomas Meskauskas was the one who originally identified the Xrom virus, which belongs to the Dharma ransomware family. A harmful program of such sort encrypts all user’s data on the computer (images, documents, excel sheets, audio files, videos, etc) and adds its specific extension to every file.

How did my machine catch Xrom ransomware?
