News-domeku push notifications appear out of the blue, disturbing and irritating you. However, that is slightly more than annoying pop-ups – their origins is surely malignant, and they may introduce other malware to your computer. In this post, I will show you the guide how to remove News-domeku pop-ups and explain how to avoid them in the future.
Any time you interact with News-domeku pop-up notifications will be ineffective at best. At worst, the websites it can throw you to may introduce malware to your system. These pop-up advertisements can also advertise fake online shopping websites which will take your money and payment info. The latter generally ends up with losing all the money you have on the exposed card.
What are News-domeku push notifications?
As the pop-up definition goes, these are short and small advertisements that attract your attention to a product they promote. But the difference between regular push notifications and News-domeku pop-ups is the malignant origins of the latter. Normal push notifications are offered for you to enable with a understandable purpose – keep you aware about the new publications, goods for sale and so on. It is a useful thing to help your site to retain visitors and help the interested visitors to have the best price.

News-domeku pop-ups, as opposed, are related to less legit websites. You will generally witness the proposition to enable them after a redirection from another page. Redirects are OK unless they throw you into such a dubious place. At that point, turning on pop-up ads is offered as the anti-bot check-up. Alternatively, the sites can deny showing you the content unless you apply these pop-up advertisements. These theses should be the red flag, as websites commonly have a different anti-bot mechanism. Seeing this demand is a reason to close the site right away. Sometimes, even when you click “Allow”, you will not see the site – the only page it has is a landing page with the offer to turn on the push notifications.
How does this work?
The vast majority of web browsers support enabling push notifications from sites. Sites, on the other hand, can send out notifications with the content they like. It may be an advertisement of the product posted on this website, or an ad of their partner page. As a result, you can see the pop-up from site X, but clicking it will direct you to website Y – because a link to the latter was embedded.
Scoundrels rely on this feature in their approach to earn money using illegal advertising. They trick victims into turning on pop-ups, and then just spread numerous promotions of other crooks they contract with. As you can suppose, no legit organisations will have a business with fraudsters. All the News-domeku notifications you can see lead to other fraudulent sites. In some cases, the same user may get into a trap of multiple pop-up spamming sites, and its web browser will turn into a complete mess.
The ads these crooks show are paid under the pay-per-view model. It commonly provides a negligible payment for one person, but when you have a huge number of users and make it hundreds of times every day – that is a way bigger sum. Even though most of such banners are ineffective, it may still give all the parties a lot of money.
Are News-domeku push notifications dangerous?
Yes, they are. Initially, they can look non-threatening – just a blinking pop-up that appears a couple times in an hour. However, the contents of this window differ drastically from what you generally see in pop-ups. News-domeku.com web page is ruled by fraudsters, who intendedly throw hundreds and thousands of irrelevant ads in pop-ups. They also don’t follow any common sense and can launch sporadic pop-ups into a hurricane of promotions. For weak computers, that may be enough to make the system slower. But troubles are not over at this point.
As with any other thing that touches illegal ads, News-domeku pop-up notifications lack legit offers. Even when hackers make the ads looking similar to ones from Amazon, Walmart or Ebay, the site these ads will throw you to are completely different. And these pages may offer you to turn on other pop-ups, install a “useful” program, or pay for a thing at a big discount and never receive it. Let’s leave aside the cases when push notifications promote phishing pages or straightforward malware. There’s no way these pages will bring you any good, thus interacting with them is a very bad idea. For the same reason, News-domeku pop-ups are not recommended to click on either, and the best solution is to disable them as soon as possible.
How to remove News-domeku pop-ups?
Fortunately, News-domeku pop-up ads removal is not very complicated. They parasite in the browser and can’t conceal themselves in the system. Nonetheless, as I stated before, some pop-up ads may promote malicious software to your computer. It is nearly impossible to describe all of the cases, and manual attempts to remove malware is a poor idea. For that reason, after removing the source of the pop-up advertisements the best option is to use anti-malware software. That is especially recommended in the case when you have never allowed pop-up advertisements, and they still appeared. This situation can point at malware activity. When the browsers are reset, you need to ensure that your browser will connect the right DNS while connecting to the website you need. Create a text file titled “hosts” on your pc’s desktop, then open it and fill it with the following lines2:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handle within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
Find the hosts.txt file in C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc directory. Rename this file to “hosts.old.txt” (to distinguish it from the new one), and then move the file you created on the desktop to this folder. Remove the hosts.old from this folder. Now you have your hosts file as good as new.
