Adware is a kind of malware that shows you the pay-per-view of pay-per-click ads, which produces a substantial amount of income for adware suppliers. Pop-up advertising itself is an excellent, low-cost and also very productive advertising instrument1. It permits the vendor to attach the customers’ attention to their site, as well as the buyers to get the dynamic updates on the goods they wish to purchase. When the customer will get a pop-up alert that the TV set he likes to purchase is available at the online store he/she checked out previously with a 15% discount, one will undoubtedly use this opportunity and buy it. Taking into consideration the incredibly small cost for the popups and their targeting, such an advertising method is a favorite thing among the advertising teams of large internet sellers.

Nonetheless, such a profitable system could not be missed by malware creators. Ability to show the popup ads forcibly to the targets of malware attack is a great basis for malicious adjustments with the popup ads. And News-udipor.cc ads is just one of hundreds that are “employed” in this system.

There are a lot of methods of becoming contaminated by the adware that create the News-Udipor popups storm. A lion’s part of this virus incidents is after the freeware or cracked programs, that are distributed on the peering networks. Freeware can additionally be downloaded from the official web page, and the adware is supplied as a legit bundled program.

There is no need to blame yourself. A plenty of users frequently use the unreliable programs from untrusted sources: abandonware, a wide range of utilities that are free of cost, and even hacked programs. All of these types of programs are dangerous, because it is quite simple to include a News-Udipor malware under the cover of part of the license hacking script, or as a part of the self-made algoritm inside of the Windows optimization tool.

News-Udipor popup malware can also be concealed in the ad somewhere on the odd website. Such web pages are in most cases filled with colorful and blinking advertisements, and their owners typically approve any type of promos to be published on their web page. Hence, clicking on such banners is a risky thing: only the advertisement contractor realizes what will occur when you press this ad. Scareware is usually spread with the last motto. Potentially unwanted applications, in turn, may have spyware functions. And it is quite hard to distinguish the unwanted app from a legit one, if you don’t know the exact names. Besides the potentially unwanted programs and pseudo antiviruses, popup-related promotions are also exploited as a distribution way by different trojan viruses, for example – coin miners. The consequences of activity of such malware is 100% unwanted, and can cost you hundreds of dollars. When the web browsers are reset, you need to make sure that your browser will connect the appropriate DNS while connecting to the web page you need. Create a text file titled “hosts” on your desktop, then open it and fill it with the following text3:

# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a ‘#’ symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handle within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
