What are Rplnd23 pop-ups?

Rplnd23 popups are a result of adware action. Adware is a type of malware that shows you the pay-per-view of pay-per-click promotions, which creates a major amount of revenue for adware representatives. Pop-up marketing itself is an excellent, low-cost and extremely successful advertising tool1. It enables the vendor to attach the buyers’ attention to their website, as well as the buyers to get the dynamic updates on the goods they wish to purchase. When the person will receive a pop-up notification that the TV set he likes to buy is provided at the online store he/she saw previously with a 15% discount, one will undoubtedly use this opportunity and get it. Taking into consideration the very small cost for the popups and their targeting, such a promotion and marketing tool is a favourite thing among the advertising departments of huge online sellers.

Nevertheless, such a rewarding strategy could not be missed by malware creators. Potential to demonstrate the popup ads forcibly to the targets of malware attack is a great basis for malevolent tricks with the popup advertisements. And Rplnd23.com ads is just one of hundreds that are “employed” in this scheme.

There are a lot of ways of becoming contaminated by the adware that cause the Rplnd23 popups storm. A lion’s part of this malware incidents is after the freeware or cracked programs, that are distributed on the peering networks. Free software can also be downloaded from the official site, and the adware is delivered as a legitimate bundled program.

There is no need to blame yourself. A plenty of people often use the dubious programs from untrusted sources: abandonware, various apps that are free, or perhaps hacked programs. Every one of these types of applications are unsafe, due to the fact that it is very simple to include a Rplnd23 malware under the guise of part of the license hacking script, or as a part of the self-made algoritm inside of the Windows optimization tool.

Such websites are usually packed with colorful and blinking advertisements, and their proprietors typically permit any kind of promos to be published on their web page. Hence, clicking on such banners is a risky thing: only the advertisement contractor realizes what will happen when you click this ad. Besides some “light” viruses, like adware or unwanted programs, you can likewise receive something far more risky, like ransomware or coin miner; the large share of coin miners distribution is exactly after the malicious advertisements.

And it is very hard to distinguish the undesirable app from a normal one, if you don’t know the exact names. Besides the PUPs and dubious antiviruses, popup-related banners are also exploited as a distribution method by various trojan viruses, for example – coin miners. The consequences of actions of such viruses is 100% unpleasant, and can cost you several hundreds of dollars. And even if you are not tapping these ads, they can be clicked by whoever who also makes use of your PC – parents, children, spouse, etc. So the things can become much more serious, and it will be much harder to solve it without data loss. # Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
